Simply Strings is a Memphis-based string ensemble creating elegant, personalized live music for weddings, events, and celebrations. Led for more than two decades by husband-and-wife team Stephen and Heather Short, the brand brings together professional musicians to deliver performances shaped around each client’s style, setting, and occasion. Its approach combines classical artistry with contemporary sophistication, offering music that feels timeless, fresh, and meaningful.

Clients can choose a violin-and-cello duo for an intimate, refined sound or a quartet featuring two violins, viola, and cello for a fuller, immersive experience. Repertoire spans classical favorites and popular contemporary songs, with custom arrangements and accompaniment tracks available where appropriate. Performances can provide a musical backdrop from the ceremony through cocktail hour, as well as for other events and celebrations.
