Sims Sea Charters offers guided salmon and halibut fishing adventures in Ketchikan, Alaska, led by locally born and raised captain Alec Simmons. Guests fish aboard the Vicky Jean, a custom-built 32-foot Edwing equipped with twin Yamaha 300-horsepower outboards and gear for salmon, halibut, rockfish, and other bottom fish. The company welcomes cruise-ship visitors, families, beginners, and experienced anglers, with dock pickup, flexible departure times, and access to nearby fishing grounds.

Charter options include four-hour salmon trips in protected waters, six-hour salmon or halibut outings, and a full-day salmon, halibut, and bottom-fishing combination. Trips can be adjusted according to tides, conditions, and where the fishing is best. A spring halibut special is also available for five- to six-hour trips from May through June 15, with gear included and limited availability. Charters require a four-person minimum. Sims Sea Charters also lists private Misty Fjords tours among its offerings, providing another way to explore the area by water.
