SimSpray

SimSpray, developed by VRSim, is a virtual reality training system for professionals and learners in painting, coatings, and related skilled trades. It combines immersive practice with real-time performance feedback, helping users build technique and muscle memory without needing a spray booth, materials, or full project setup. Training content covers spray coatings, powder coating, and abrasive blasting, with applications across automotive, aerospace, rail, furniture and cabinetry, marine, building trades, and truck work.

The system supports lesson-based learning as well as practice on selected parts. Instructors can tailor lessons, scoring, and material settings, while an optional mobile-friendly Performance Portal tracks individual and group progress. SimSpray is designed for education and industry programs, including workforce development, recruitment, qualification, upskilling, and just-in-time training. Its repeatable exercises provide opportunities for practice and feedback while reducing material use and operational demands compared with conventional training projects.
