Simu is a clinical training platform that uses artificial intelligence to help medical and healthcare students practise consultations with realistic virtual patients. Designed for learning in a safe, controlled environment, it supports training in medical history-taking, differential diagnosis and clinical communication without risk to real patients. Learners can choose from clinical cases organised by specialty and difficulty, then conduct consultations by text or voice in Portuguese.

Virtual patients have distinct personalities and histories, and respond naturally to the questions asked. After each session, Simu provides detailed feedback on areas such as history-taking, communication and clinical reasoning, including questions the learner may have missed and a record of progress over time. The platform serves undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and offers institutional solutions for medical schools, hospitals, nursing schools and simulation centres.
