Sinai Memorial

Sinai Memorial is a Bay Area nonprofit Jewish funeral home serving Jews of all denominations, traditions, and means with dignity, kindness, and respect. Established in 1901, it has grown alongside the region’s Jewish community and is Northern California’s only organization combining a sacred burial community, or Chevra Kadisha, with a funeral home and multiple cemeteries. Its team is available 24 hours a day to guide families through the practical and emotional challenges following a death.

Services include Jewish and secular funeral arrangements, cemetery services, traditional and green burials, and alternatives such as cremation and human composting. Sinai Memorial also offers mourner care, with counselors providing compassionate, nonjudgmental one-on-one support, and advance planning services to help individuals and families clarify their wishes. The organization provides educational resources on Jewish funeral, burial, mourning, and remembrance traditions, along with guidance for those supporting mourners. Through community education and charitable donations, Sinai Memorial works to make end-of-life services, healing, and learning rooted in Jewish tradition accessible across the Bay Area.
