AISF ODV (Associazione Italiana Sindrome Fibromialgica) is an Italian voluntary organization dedicated to supporting people affected by fibromyalgia and improving understanding of the condition. Fibromyalgia involves widespread musculoskeletal pain and fatigue and, according to the association, affects approximately 1.5–2 million people in Italy. AISF works to guide patients through the challenges of diagnosis and treatment, develop programs to improve quality of life, raise awareness among scientific and public institutions, and advocate for recognition of the condition and access to pharmacological therapies through Italy’s National Health Service.

The organization offers educational resources, including articles, magazines, brochures, a glossary, and practical information about regional services and healthcare rights. Its activities include patient meetings, events, regional sections, scientific conferences, and projects focused on wellbeing and self-understanding. Programs have included gentle exercise, mindfulness, and Feldenkrais courses. AISF also provides Fibromyapp, a web application addressing common clinical and practical questions about fibromyalgia. Visitors can join or renew membership, make donations, and support the organization through Italy’s five-per-thousand tax contribution option.
