BABS, also known as the British Association of Barbershop Singers, is a registered charity that supports male and mixed barbershop harmony singing in the UK. As the largest organization of its kind outside of North America, BABS is dedicated to promoting and preserving the art of barbershop singing. With over 60 registered choruses (choirs) and 100 registered barbershop quartets across the country, BABS offers a vibrant and inclusive community for barbershop enthusiasts.
In addition to their primary focus on male and mixed barbershop, BABS works closely with sister organizations LABBS and SAI to support female barbershop singers in the UK. The association not only provides a platform for barbershop performers but also offers valuable resources and educational opportunities. Their Music & Education Team and Contest & Judging Team are dedicated to promoting high-quality singing and helping singers improve their skills.
