Sing Lit Station is a platform where readers and writers can meet. As a registered charity and Institution of Public Character (IPC), their core mission is to serve the local literary community. They aim to create a space for writers to grow their artistic and professional lives and invite readers to explore the literary culture.

Sing Lit Station offers a range of programmes and projects, including Book A Writer, a workshop-for-schools programme, SingPoWriMo, a community challenge and writing forum, and Manuscript Bootcamp, an annual program for writers near publication. They also have a regional Hawker Prize. Sing Lit Station serves as a writer's centre, providing a physical space for literary creation.

They offer a half-year writing residency, masterclasses from visiting writers, and peer-led workshop groups for literary growth. They also rent out office and event spaces. Supported by the National Arts Council and various other organizations, Sing Lit Station relies on the support of generous arts patrons to continue their work
