Stichting Sinterklaasintocht Werkendam is a local organization dedicated to bringing the annual arrival of Sinterklaas and his Piets to the community of Werkendam. Its volunteer committee plans a festive event for children and families, with activities designed to make the seasonal celebration welcoming and memorable. The programme may include a parade, a Pieten procession and opportunities for children to see Sinterklaas and take a photograph. Event arrangements can vary by year; the information provided describes a drive-through format, with visitors attending by car and following the route and instructions given by event staff and traffic marshals.

The foundation also supports the celebrations with family-friendly resources and activities. Its Sinterklaas newspaper features games, puzzles, crafts and recipes, while a children’s colouring competition invites young participants to submit their artwork for display. Winners may receive a special place in the event procession. Through its annual planning, downloadable materials and community participation, Stichting Sinterklaasintocht Werkendam helps families celebrate a much-loved Dutch tradition together.
