Simwood is a software-defined telecommunications carrier established in 1996, providing communications platforms and connectivity for businesses and service providers. It owns and operates the equipment and software behind its hosted services, with its platform built and maintained in-house. Its Hosted PBX offering lets partners sell a business phone system under their own brand, using their own domain, pricing, tariffs and bundles.
Included features include a partner portal, web apps, payment integration, call restrictions, spending limits, prepay or postpay accounts, and call recording with configurable retention. An API enables partners to develop custom client applications, intelligent call routing, call tracking and integrations. Hosted numbers also receive automatic STIR/SHAKEN call signing through Simwood’s certificate.
Beyond Hosted PBX, Simwood offers carrier services and connectivity, including SIP trunks, global connectivity, numbers and porting, wholesale SMS, WhatsApp Business, Microsoft Teams connectivity and IP transit.
