SIPmath Group

SIPmath Group, Inc. helps organizations make better decisions in the face of uncertainty through probability management, a discipline that treats uncertainty as auditable data while preserving the rules of arithmetic and probability. Its work focuses on enabling chance-informed decisions at every level and showing organizations how to represent uncertainties as data and build the capability to teach themselves.

The group was launched in 2016 by AnalyCorp Inc., an organization founded in 1997 by Dr. Sam L. Savage to provide training, consultation, and expert testimony to business and government agencies. Dr. Savage, a founder of probability management, invented the SIP and leads ProbabilityManagement.org as its executive director. He is also the author of The Flaw of Averages: Why We Underestimate Risk in the Face of Uncertainty and Chancification: How to Fix the Flaw of Averages, and an adjunct professor at Stanford University.
