SIREN Baroque is a New York City early music ensemble founded in 2011 and described as the city’s only all-female group of its kind. The ensemble is dedicated to performing music by women Baroque composers, bringing their work and stories into greater prominence and addressing their limited representation in the traditional musical canon. Its musicians include vocalists and instrumentalists who collaborate across disciplines, sharing approaches to ornamentation, phrasing, and technique to create a unified, flexible sound.

SIREN’s performances combine music with historical context, biographical insights, and anecdotes drawn from the ensemble’s research and rehearsals. This immersive approach gives audiences an educational perspective alongside lively, detailed performances. The group has appeared at events and venues including the Boston Early Music Festival fringe, the Bronxville Bach Festival, and the DiMenna Center in New York, and has presented programs featuring music by women composers and nuns. Its repertoire and projects have also included contemporary world premieres.
