The Italian Society of Silviculture and Forest Ecology (SISEF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of forestry and forest ecology in Italy. Comprising scientists and forestry professionals, SISEF focuses on sustainable forest management, biodiversity, and the ecological balance of forest ecosystems, which make up 40% of the Italian territory.

The society fosters research and collaboration through thematic working groups that tackle significant issues such as forest pollution, tree ecology, and urban green spaces.
