Soroptimist International of South Bay is a volunteer organization dedicated to helping women and girls access education, training, and opportunities for economic empowerment. Formerly known as Soroptimist International of Manhattan Beach, the club was founded in 1953 and has grown to serve communities across the South Bay, from Santa Monica to Long Beach, including Redondo Beach, Torrance, El Segundo, Gardena, Hawthorne, and Palos Verdes. Its new name reflects the wider reach of its work while honoring its local roots.

The organization supports women and girls through programs and community initiatives. Its Live Your Dream Awards provide direct financial assistance to women pursuing education and rebuilding their lives. Dream It, Be It offers teen girls career guidance and mentoring. Members also work to address period poverty, raise awareness of mental health, support women affected by breast cancer, and assist survivors of human trafficking. Guided by a commitment to women helping women, Soroptimist International of South Bay invites community members to join, participate in events, and contribute to its work through donations.
