Sisters Giving Back is a community-driven nonprofit founded in 2011 by women committed to improving the lives of African American girls and young women. Based in the Philadelphia area, the organization promotes education, confidence, leadership, and long-term success through positive role modeling and practical opportunities. Its programs include college scholarships, youth conferences, and leadership development.
Each year, three scholarships are awarded to eligible students entering an accredited U. S. college or university as full-time, first-year degree candidates.
The annual Teen Girls Conference in Philadelphia features workshops and activities focused on confidence, fashion, social media, self-esteem, and public speaking. Sisters Giving Back also offers a six-month leadership cohort and STEM conference programming. Fundraising events, including an annual scholarship gala and community activities, help support its youth conferences and scholarship awards while bringing supporters together.
The organization welcomes donors, volunteers, and members who want to help advance its mission. Through these services and community partnerships, Sisters Giving Back works to empower the next generation of women and expand their educational and leadership opportunities
