SistersofProvidence is a congregation of Roman Catholic women religious (sisters) founded by Saint Mother Theodore Guerin in 1840. Their mission is to be God's Providence in the world by performing works of love, mercy, and justice in service among God's people. They are a community of vowed Catholic women religious who are passionate about their lives of prayer, education, service, and advocacy.

The Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods are committed to breaking boundaries and creating hope. They have a long history of dedication to social and environmental justice, and they operate the White Violet Center for Eco-Justice. They offer various services, including education, social services, health care, and spiritual ministries.
