Sylvania Franciscans, also known as the Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania, Ohio, are a community of women dedicated to promoting peace and justice. Following in the footsteps of St.

Francis of Assisi, they commit themselves to works that honor human dignity, support the marginalized, and care for the Earth. The Sylvania Franciscans offer a range of ministries and services to fulfill their mission. They actively advocate for justice and peace, working to address issues such as the death penalty, human trafficking, racism, and environmental conservation.

They also operate the Welcome House, a refugee outreach program, and maintain a year-round garden. Additionally, the Sylvania Franciscans provide spiritual and prayer experiences through their Regina Center and various spaces for prayer and reflection. They invite individuals to join them in Mass virtually or explore their campus sights.
