SITŻ HALS

The Association of Sailing Instructors and Trainers HALS (SITŻ HALS) is an independent legal organisation dedicated to supporting the development of sailing in Poland. It operates throughout Poland and the European Union, with activities overseen by its governing bodies, including a board and an audit committee. Through its HALS Sailing Academy and alpine skiing school, the association provides training for recreational participants and aspiring instructors.

Its programmes cover sailing, windsurfing, motorboating, regatta sailing, alpine skiing and snowboarding. Courses prepare participants for Polish state sailing and motorboat licences, as well as instructor qualifications; the association also offers examinations for relevant licences and instructor credentials. Courses are listed in locations including Warsaw and Rzeszów. HALS provides training systems, educational certificates and training licences, and publishes instructional materials, including guides on sailing instruction, yacht handling and skiing. Its resources also include films demonstrating sailing manoeuvres.
