The Fondazione Don Carlo Gnocchi, established over sixty years ago by Don Gnocchi, is dedicated to providing healthcare, rehabilitation, and social integration for individuals with disabilities, particularly those affected by polio and amputations. The foundation has expanded its services to include innovative and experimental solutions tailored to diverse community needs. Its offerings comprise inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient care, home rehabilitation, imaging diagnostics, and specialized services for children, the elderly, individuals with acquired brain injuries, and terminally ill patients.

A cornerstone of the foundation is the SIVA (Servizio Informazione e Valutazione Ausili), which provides technical assistance and guidance in selecting appropriate aids and technologies to enhance autonomy and quality of life for people with disabilities. SIVA operates both as an informative portal and through specialized centers that deliver personalized assessments for assistive devices.
