Sivalodet

Sivalodet is an organization dedicated to the balanced management of water resources and aquatic environments across the Odet river basin in Brittany, France. Based in Quimper, it works on issues affecting the basin and its surrounding territories, connecting water quality, natural habitats, land management and community awareness. Its activities include work related to the SAGE water management plan, aquatic environments, bocage landscapes, the estuary, biodiversity and flood prevention.

Sivalodet also addresses flood risk through the Flood Risk Prevention Plan for Quimper, Ergué-Gabéric and Guengat, and initiatives to reduce the vulnerability of buildings to flooding. Alongside these management and prevention efforts, the organization offers environmental education activities, including public events that invite people to explore local biodiversity. Its website shares information about the basin, Sivalodet’s missions, current projects and news, as well as resources for members.

Through this broad program, Sivalodet supports coordinated stewardship of the Odet basin and raises awareness of the environmental challenges facing its waters and landscapes
