About Six Nations of the Grand River
Six Nations of the Grand River is a prominent brand that unifies all Haudenosaunee peoples under the Great Tree of Peace. As the most populous First Nation in Canada, Six Nations of the Grand River has a long and rich history dating back to the American Revolution when they were allied with the British and promised lands under the Treaty of Haldimand. Although their current territory is only a fraction of what was promised, Six Nations consists of all six Haudenosaunee nations, including Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Oneida, Mohawk, and Tuscarora.
Under the leadership of Chief Mark B. Hill, Six Nations of the Grand River is dedicated to advocating for the rights and empowerment of its people, particularly the youth. Chief Hill is a passionate advocate and a Co-Founder of the Six Nations Youth Council, contributing to youth empowerment initiatives.
