Six Runs Plantation is a bed and breakfast in Sampson County, eastern North Carolina, offering lodging, hunting, and boating in a peaceful rural setting. The property has operated as a hunting preserve licensed with the North Carolina Wildlife Association since 1980. Its more than 1,000 acres provide opportunities for Bobwhite quail hunting, as well as duck and deer hunting. Guests can also take guided or self-guided canoe and kayak trips along a four-mile stretch of the Six Runs River, with river trips on the nearby Black River also offered.
The plantation’s 7,000-square-foot lodge combines historic character and guest comforts. Built with heart pine, juniper, and cypress, it includes the circa-1800 Todd House section, a Great Room, a private spa, and a long sunroom. Guest rooms feature antiques and traditional furnishings. Meals include continental breakfast, served in the sunroom or on the deck, with gourmet or Southern-style breakfast available upon request. The formal dining room also serves as a conference center. Six Runs Plantation is located near Rose Hill, North Carolina.
