Sjöhistoriska Samfundet is a Swedish historical society founded in 1939 to support the study of maritime history, especially Sweden’s, in all its contexts and forms. It brings together people interested in exploring the past through research, publications and member events. The society publishes Forum navale, a journal devoted to maritime history, and a related book series featuring additional scholarly works.
