Sjømat Norge

Sjømat Norge, or the Norwegian Seafood Federation, is a national industry association and a federation within the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO). It represents businesses across Norway’s seafood sector, including aquaculture and seafood processing, and works on issues affecting the industry at home and internationally. Its activities span fisheries and aquaculture policy, communications and strategy, international affairs, industrial development, and organisation and working life.

The federation provides members with industry information, materials and access to member benefits. It also represents sector perspectives in public and political discussions, publishes news and policy updates, and submits consultation responses on proposed regulations and other matters relevant to seafood businesses. Its website features events and seminars, including meetings focused on aquaculture, taxation and health, safety and working conditions. Sjømat Norge also shares statements and resources for the media and the wider industry.
