Sokerijuurikkaan Tutkimuskeskus (SjT) is a Finnish research centre dedicated to improving sugar beet cultivation and supporting the wider sugar sector. With more than 70 years of research, it shares practical, evidence-based guidance and results with growers and other agricultural professionals. Its resources cover the full growing cycle, including soil preparation, sowing, fertilisation, crop protection, weed and pest management, disease identification, harvesting, storage, and beet quality.

SjT also publishes detailed information on nutrients, crop symptoms, pesticide restrictions, and cultivation techniques, alongside guidance for soil-improvement and catch-crop cultivation. The centre conducts and contributes to research and development projects, and organises events on topics such as sustainable field production and agricultural technology. Project findings and event materials are made available through its publications and YouTube channel.

SjT publishes Juurikassarka, a specialist magazine issued three times a year, featuring research results, current issues in beet production, and news from the sugar industry. Its website also provides cultivation bulletins, technical information sheets, project updates, and seed trial reports, helping users apply current knowledge to their work
