Skarverennet

Skarverennet is a Norwegian cross-country ski event organised by Geilo IL, known as “spring’s most beautiful adventure. ” Set in the high mountains, the annual race combines skiing, scenic views and a lively atmosphere, welcoming participants, supporters and volunteers for a weekend of activities in the Geilo area. The event offers two trim distances: 37 kilometres from Finse to Ustaoset and 25 kilometres from Haugastøl to Ustaoset, as well as a 37-kilometre competition class.

Participants can register for the race or choose a day-trip train package from Bergen or Oslo. The website provides practical information on transport, accommodation, routes, safety, insurance and event arrangements, alongside weather updates, waxing advice, news, results, films and photos. Skarverennet also sells branded products featuring its logo and course design, available at Geilohallen and the finish area at Ustaoset.
