Skateboard Scotland

Skateboard Scotland is the official governing body for skateboarding in Scotland. Established in 2003, this membership-based organisation is run by skaters for skaters and works to improve and develop the skateboarding scene across the country. Its priorities include supporting the creation of high-quality facilities, helping community groups plan and build local skateparks, organising competitions and events, and attracting international interest in Scottish skateboarding.

The organisation provides practical guidance and resources, including advice on building community skateparks, information about official skateboard instructor qualifications, coaching and skate clubs, and skatepark etiquette. Its Scottish Skatepark Directory helps people find locations on a map and lists more than 200 skateparks and over 28 pump tracks, with new entries added regularly. Skateboard Scotland also shares news, event information and updates on projects across the country.

Membership is free and includes updates through the organisation’s mailing list. Skateboarders, clubs and community groups can contact Skateboard Scotland with questions, feedback or event details, helping shape its work and support the wider skateboarding community.
