Skate Žilina

Skate Žilina is a figure skating club for children and young people, based at the Vojtech Závodský Ice Stadium in Žilina. Led by experienced coaches Petra and Rastislav Vrlák, the club welcomes beginners as well as skaters pursuing competitive development. Its children’s introductory program builds fundamental skills, including balance, skating technique, turns and other movements on the ice, with training adapted to each child’s ability and experience. Beginners can try skating without immediately joining the club and may attend regularly or occasionally.

Skate Žilina offers group and individual lessons for different ages and skill levels. Group sessions develop technique, coordination and movement in a team setting, while individual coaching allows more focused work on skills and specific elements. For athletes seeking a greater challenge, the club provides systematic competitive preparation, covering jumps, spins, footwork, programs, and off-ice movement, dance and conditioning. It also trains figure skating pairs, with attention to shared technique, synchronization, coordination and pair elements.
