SKDN

Shotokan Karaté Do Niortais (SKDN) is a traditional Shotokan karate club based in Niort, France, affiliated with the Japan Karate Association (JKA) and the French Karate Federation (FFK). It welcomes beginners and experienced practitioners, including children, teenagers, and adults, offering a friendly setting in which members can develop their skills and personal confidence through martial arts.

The club provides regular classes, with schedules and venues published on its website, as well as trial-class information and support for new registrations. Training and club activities cover traditional Shotokan practice, while members can also take part in competitions and attend karate workshops and stages in the local area and beyond. Each year, SKDN hosts a Gasshuku, a major training event featuring invited national and international JKA instructors. The club also shares information about events, competition results, and practical matters such as fees and equipment. Club-branded jackets and sweatshirts are available to order. Through its classes and events, SKDN offers a community for people interested in learning and practising karate at different levels.
