Samir Kassir Eyes

The Samir Kassir Foundation's SKeyes Center for Media and Cultural Freedom, established in 2008 in Beirut, is a pioneering organization dedicated to protecting freedom of expression and advancing media development throughout the Levant. In honor of the slain journalist Samir Kassir, SKeyes monitors violations against press and cultural freedom in Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, and Jordan, with aspirations to extend its reach across the Arab world.

SKeyes' multifaceted approach includes publishing reports and press releases, organizing workshops, exhibitions, and conferences, and providing legal and financial support to journalists and intellectuals facing oppression. The center also fosters civil society initiatives to build advocacy groups that uphold media rights.
