The Alpine Section of Ski Club Val-de-Morteau (SCVM) is a local ski organization serving communities including Villers-le-Lac, Montlebon and Les Fins in the Doubs region of the Jura. It is the second-largest ski club in the department by number of registered members. The section is part of SCVM, the club recognized by the French Ski Federation, and operates with organizational autonomy.
Its main purpose is to help children access competitive alpine skiing from age seven, provided they have reached at least the second-star skiing level. The club supports members through training camps, competition information and a calendar of events, and shares guidance on competition licences, regulations and choosing equipment. It also organizes or participates in ski races, including events in the Doubs Cup, and provides practical information such as ski-bus arrangements. A separate Nordic skiing section is also available within the club.
The section is funded through member contributions, sponsors, proceeds from events and annual grants from local authorities.
