About SKIPS Pre-School
SKIPS Pre-School is a family-run village preschool located in Oldbury, Ightham, between Sevenoaks and Borough Green in Kent. Registered with Ofsted and affiliated with the Early Years Alliance, it provides childcare and early education for children aged 22 months to under five. Sessions run Monday to Friday, 8:45 a.
m. to 3:00 p. m., during term time, with funded places available for three- and four-year-olds and eligible two-year-olds.
The setting aims to create a welcoming, home-like atmosphere where children can develop their potential through relaxed, positive learning. Its programme combines play and early learning with outdoor experiences, including access to the preschool’s woodland and nearby natural spaces. Children can use authentic materials and open-ended loose parts, and families may arrange free settling-in sessions.
Additional activities include dedicated Forest School sessions, Playball, Musical Bumps and yoga. The graduate-led team is trained in paediatric first aid, safeguarding and food hygiene, and includes a special educational needs and disabilities coordinator
