Skischule Hochharz

Skischule Hochharz is a winter sports school serving the high-altitude areas of the Harz in Germany. Led by Carsten Pohle and a team of trained ski and snowboard instructors, the school offers individually tailored lessons for learners of all ages, from children to seniors. Courses are available in alpine skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing, with beginner and advanced instruction adapted to each participant’s needs and goals.

The school also provides ski-roller courses as preparation for winter, as well as IPE coaching for children and young people. Its instructors hold certifications from the German Ski Association, Austrian Ski Association, German Ski Instructors Association and Snowsport Tirol. Lessons take place at suitable local areas, including Torfhaus, Sonnenberg and Braunlage’s Wurmberg, depending on snow, weather and slope conditions.

Beginner alpine classes use blue-rated slopes, while cross-country instruction takes place on the trails at Torfhaus and Sonnenberg. Skischule Hochharz also offers gift vouchers for lessons and welcomes enquiries about course availability and scheduling
