Ski School Deštné is a family-run ski and snowboard school in Deštné in the Orlické Mountains, founded in 1991. It offers lessons for beginners, experienced skiers and snowboarders looking to improve their technique and style. The school emphasizes quality, enjoyment and safety, with licensed instructors who take part in regular training before and during the winter season.
Its teaching draws on more than three decades of experience and combines the latest Austrian methodology with elements from other approaches, including APUL and Canadian methods, adapted to each client and the terrain. The school’s services also include equipment rental, programs for schools and instructor courses. Its family tradition began with former Czechoslovak downhill skiing representative Jiří Dařílek; his son Jan took over the school in the 2023–2024 season. The team also competes in the APUL Czech Championships for ski schools, placing fourth in the 2024–2025 edition. Guided by the motto “Teach and inspire,” Ski School Deštné aims to make learning winter sports effective and fun for a broad range of clients.
