Skjern Å Kajakklub

Skjern Å Kajakklub is a kayaking club based at Skaven Harbour in Denmark and an association under Skjern Gymnastikforening of 1916. It welcomes beginners and experienced paddlers, with opportunities for both adults and juniors, and places particular emphasis on safety, enjoyable outings, and an active social life. The club has a fleet of 10 sea kayaks and three junior kayaks, which members can borrow, and organizes weekly group paddles during the season.

It also holds regular rescue practice, covering both assisted and self-rescue techniques. To join, use club equipment, and take part in group trips, members must be able to swim at least 200 metres and have participated in the required rescue exercises. A buoyancy aid and spraydeck are required during club activities.

The club offers members access to local paddling waters, organized trips, and opportunities to develop their kayaking skills alongside other enthusiasts. Skjern Å Kajakklub invites prospective members to get in touch with questions and follow its Facebook page for updates
