Sportovní klub Ještěd is a sports association based in Liberec, bringing together children, young people and adults across six specialist clubs. It welcomes both competitive athletes and people who simply enjoy an active lifestyle, providing opportunities from beginner instruction and recreational sport to training and competition in the Ještěd Ridge and Jizera Mountains.
The club’s activities include alpine skiing, freestyle skiing, ski jumping and Nordic combined, mountaineering, and skibobbing. Its ski school, active on Ještěd’s slopes since 1960 and at Javorník since 2010, teaches skiing and snowboarding to children and adults. The club also offers courses in activities such as climbing, skibobbing and freestyle skiing, as well as day camps for children and young people.
Through its clubs and programs, SK Ještěd supports skill development, outdoor experiences and participation in mountain sports. The organization reports more than 700 members and over 30 trained coaches, and invites newcomers, families and experienced athletes to take part.
