Javni štipendijski, razvojni, invalidski in preživninski sklad Republike Slovenije is the central institution in Slovenia that operates in the fields of scholarships, investing in human resource development, encouraging the employment of disabled individuals, ensuring children's rights to alimony, and international alimony recovery. The fund offers various types of scholarships, including Zois scholarships, scholarships for in-demand professions, Ad futura scholarships, scholarships for Slovenian students abroad, and co-financing for scientific research mobility. It also focuses on human resource development through programs for businesses and individuals, such as the Prometej project and the Design Management Competence Center.

Additionally, the fund provides support for workers whose employment has ceased due to employer insolvency or deletion from the court register. It also promotes the employment and preservation of jobs for disabled individuals through monitoring and financial incentives. Furthermore, the fund ensures the right to alimony substitutes for children whose obligated parties do not pay alimony and serves as the central authority for international alimony recovery
