To access our extensive resources, you can get a library card, which grants you access to our rich collections, programming, and resources. We offer library card options for Skokie residents, businesses, teachers, as well as residents of other suburbs and the city of Chicago. When you visit the library, you can browse our collection in person and check out materials using self-serve kiosks or by visiting a help desk.

If you prefer, you can also request items to be reserved for pickup, either at the library or on our bookmobile, a mobile library that brings books, DVDs, and more to various locations in Skokie. During the pandemic, we have implemented safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe visit for everyone.
