Školička U Kocoura is a small private preschool in the Malvazinky neighborhood of Prague 5, serving children aged 2.5 to 7. Set in a quiet residential area, it offers a welcoming, secure environment where young children can gradually become comfortable spending time away from their parents. Children typically attend once or twice a week, choosing four- or six-hour sessions.
Activities take place in a small group of up to 10 children and are organized around a shared theme. The program combines visual arts, drama education, songs, and interactive storytelling, with children encouraged to participate actively. Creative sessions introduce a variety of techniques and materials, including paper, wood, fabric, wool fleece, ceramic clay, and natural objects. The preschool’s approach aims to nurture creativity, individual abilities, and enjoyment of both the making process and the finished work.
A weekly English lesson is included in the Thursday morning program and is taught through games. English may also be used occasionally at other times, while stories and art activities are conducted in Czech.
