SK Slunéčko

SK Slunéčko is a community sports club based in Říčany, Czech Republic. Founded ten years ago, it aims to bring people together through sport and shared experiences. Its most established activity is girls’ basketball, with six teams spanning age groups from young beginners to adult players. The teams take part in year-round competitions at different levels, and the club provides regular training for youth categories, including U11, U13 and U15. Seasonal preparation includes training camps combining basketball with athletics, sports games and technical practice.

Beyond basketball, SK Slunéčko offers inline skating courses, sports camps and day camps, as well as sports weekends in the Novohradsko area. The club also works to develop Pohodové údolí, a public recreation project near Říčany that includes a sports field, a cycling path and improved access to the surroundings of the Říčanský stream. Through its teams, activities and community project, SK Slunéčko serves both young athletes and the wider public, supported in part by grants from the Czech National Sports Agency and the town of Říčany.
