ŠK UNI KOŠICE

KALIMERO is a children’s sports preparation program established in May 2011 and operating under ŠK UNI KOŠICE, a club with a history of developing successful skiers, competitors and Slovak national representatives. Based in Košice, it offers two pathways: general sports preparation for children from age three, and competitive ski preparation for children from age six who enjoy regular sport and want to compete with peers from across Slovakia.

The general program focuses on broad physical development through a variety of sports, helping children build a positive relationship with exercise and a healthy lifestyle. It aims to develop fundamental movement skills and give young participants the opportunity to explore different activities before choosing a sport to pursue further. KALIMERO describes its club atmosphere as family-oriented and emphasizes outdoor activity, children’s enjoyment and established approaches to their development.

Alongside regular training, the organization arranges weekend activities and multi-day sports camps for children and parents. These include ski trips to Austria and Italy, a summer camp in the Liptov region, and outdoor gatherings.
