Skykomish Ski Team

Skykomish Ski Team (SST) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) Alpine ski racing and ski-cross team based in Skykomish, Washington. Its structured enhancement program helps young, competitive athletes develop skiing skills, training habits, and confidence while remaining connected to their home community. SST offers midweek winter race training at Snoqualmie Pass during January and February, designed to complement athletes’ existing schedules. The program welcomes athletes of all ages and aims to make race training both enjoyable and affordable; tuition covers coaching, insurance, equipment, and training space.

The team’s US Ski & Snowboard-trained coaches bring racing and coaching experience and share a passion for alpine competition. SST emphasizes mindful, determined, diligent, and enthusiastic learning, with a focus on respect for teammates, competitors, the mountain, and oneself. Rather than prioritizing immediate results, the program supports steady individual progress and the foundations for lifelong participation in skiing and competition. Families are an important part of the team community, helping foster discipline, hard work, and mutual support.
