Skylabs Audio

Skylabs Audio is a brick-and-mortar hi-fi and vinyl store in West Des Moines, Iowa, built around the idea of “Modern Sound, Vintage Soul.” The business curates audio equipment featured on its channel, with selections and recommendations from Kevin Moll. Its range includes speakers, amplifiers, turntables, DACs and streamers, headphones, phono cartridges, cables, stereo furniture, accessories, and vinyl records and CDs. The shop carries brands such as Rega, Thorens, Wharfedale, Luxman, Audio-Technica, and Nagaoka, alongside Skylabs-branded merchandise.

Customers can shop new audio products online, with worldwide shipping available, or visit the store to explore its offerings. Vintage stereo equipment is available in person only. Skylabs also offers a Trade-Up program, evaluating customers’ existing audio gear for potential credit toward new equipment. Its website shares product picks, gear reviews, events, and video content, and invites audiophiles to join its Discord community or subscribe to Kevin’s newsletter. The store is open Wednesday through Friday and Saturday.
