Tubidy is a browser-based music and video discovery service presented as a destination for South African music downloads. It lets users search for songs, artists, and other media, browse results, and, where available, preview or download files in MP3 audio or MP4 video formats. The site features new releases and popular searches, with listings that include tracks by South African artists and performers across genres such as Amapiano, African music, Arabic, blues, and Bollywood and Indian music.

Users can access the service from a phone, tablet, or computer browser, and basic browsing may be possible without an account or app. Tubidy also provides guidance on comparing titles, sources, runtimes, formats, quality, and file sizes before choosing a result. Availability and options can vary by source, device, and time.

Downloads and streaming require an internet connection, and saved files use device storage. Tubidy advises users to consider mobile data costs, check permissions, and download or share only media they are authorized to use
