About Skyrail Rainforest Cableway
Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, located in Cairns, QLD, is a family-owned and locally operated brand that offers an exceptional rainforest experience. As the longest rainforest cableway in the world, Skyrail takes guests on a breathtaking journey through the World Heritage listed Wet Tropics Rainforest, home to the oldest continuously surviving tropical rainforest on Earth. The brand is owned by the Chapman family, 4th generation locals who are deeply committed to the environment and the local community.
Since 1995, Skyrail has been inviting visitors to explore the ancient rainforest, creating a community of rainforest advocates for over 27 years. With a strong focus on sustainability, Skyrail allows guests to travel through the rainforest in the most environmentally friendly manner possible. By gliding above the rainforest canopy and walking on eco-sensitive pathways, guests can fully immerse themselves in the beauty of the rainforest without leaving a footprint behind.
With 32 towers and a cableway stretch of 7. 5 kilometers, Skyrail offers breathtaking views and a unique perspective on the rainforest. They also provide informative resources, such as the Skyrail app, to enhance the visitor experience.
Skyrail Rainforest Cableway is not only a remarkable tourist attraction but also an advocate for preserving the natural environment for future generations
