The recently concluded Matterhorn Ultraks « EXTREME » race was an epic event, with participants from over 30 different countries. The race course spanned 25 km and included a challenging 2,876 m of elevation gain and a 3% glacier. In the men's race, Manuel Merillas of Spain emerged as the victor, surpassing the competition and finishing with a time of 3h19'16.
In the women's race, Anastasia Rubtsova of Russia claimed her first victory in a World Series race.
