Skyward Assembly is an independent game development team driven by creativity, craft, and a willingness to take risks. The studio values making games that are fun to create and exciting to play, rather than relying on cautious, familiar choices. Its goal is to build immersive worlds for players across genres.

The team is currently developing its first original intellectual property, Metal Vector, a science-fiction shoot ’em up set in 8400 A.D. In its story, humanity faces extinction after the alien CRON invade the Sol system. The remaining humans flee through a warpgate and must board an advanced combat ship to fight their way through an immense, unfamiliar structure.

Metal Vector combines classic shoot ’em up action with modern controls, a story-driven campaign, and an innovative scoring and difficulty system. Players can unlock multiple ships and weapon systems, customize loadouts, and explore branching playthrough paths. Designed to appeal to both genre veterans and action fans, the game is in development with its release date still to be announced.
