About Skyward Experimental Rocketry
Skyward is a student association founded in 2012 and based at Politecnico di Milano. Their main objective is to launch sounding rockets and participate in various rocketry challenges. With a focus on innovation and ambition, they have developed a range of rockets such as Pyxis, Chimaera, and Lynx.
Pyxis, their latest rocket, showcases an innovative design and will compete in the 2022 European Rocketry Challenge. Chimaera, on the other hand, is a hybrid rocket engine developed by Skyward, and it aims to reach an impressive altitude of 3000m in the 2023 edition of the European Rocketry Challenge. Lynx, their previous rocket, participated in the 2021 European Rocketry Challenge and achieved altitudes double that of their previous launches.
Skyward's team consists of experts in various departments including aerodynamics, control systems, electronics, logistics, media, mission analysis, propulsion, recovery, software, and structure. Based in Milan, Italy, Skyward Experimental Rocketry is a non-profit association that welcomes support through donations
