The Sri Lanka Association of NVOCC Agents (SLANA) was formed in the year 2016 by licensed agents in Sri Lanka representing Non-Vessel Operating Container Carriers who operate fleets of marine containers. Our Association was formed to promote and protect the interest of NVOCC agents in Sri Lanka and to formulate national policies to elevate the maritime industry.

About Sri Lanka Association of NVOCC Agents
SLANA (Sri Lanka Association of NVOCC Agents) is a prominent brand that represents Non-Vessel Operating Container Carriers in Sri Lanka. Established in 2016, SLANA is an association formed by licensed agents in Sri Lanka who operate fleets of marine containers. These containers include standard dry containers, refrigerated containers, ISO tank containers, and special containers such as flat racks and open tops.
The NVOCC Principals represented by SLANA are primarily regional carriers, operating shipping services within the Indian sub-continent, the Middle East Gulf Ports, and Far East Ports. They issue their own Carrier B/L's and book space on feeder operators & main line operators. Additionally, SLANA has ISO Tank Container Principals involved in transporting Chemical & Food Grade Bulk Liquids with worldwide port coverage.
SLANA's main objective is to promote and protect the interests of NVOCC agents in Sri Lanka. They work closely with the Ministry of Ports & Shipping, SLPA, Director General of Merchant Shipping, and Customs to address various issues faced by their members. With a membership count of 53, SLANA plays a vital role in driving the maritime industry's growth in Sri Lanka.
