Slate Design, Ltd is a leading design studio specializing in modern furniture and product design. Established in 2001 by Mark Daniel, Slate began as a one-man design/build shop and has since evolved into a dynamic and multi-disciplinary product design firm. Our extensive portfolio showcases our expertise in a wide range of products, including the Exponential shelving, Spotlight desk, Oslo dining table, Andes bed, and the Union Home collection.

What sets Slate apart is our global collaboration with craftsmen from the United States, Asia, and Europe. We work closely with each factory to understand their capabilities and production processes, ensuring that every product is of the highest quality. This collaboration has allowed us to design exclusive pieces for renowned US retailers such as Crate & Barrel, CB2, Design Within Reach, and Z Gallerie, among others.

With a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of materials, including veneered and solid wood, steel, aluminum, ceramics, and blown glass, Slate Design brings inspiring and innovative designs to life. From initial sketch to final manufacturing, we are committed to creating exceptional and timeless pieces for the modern home.
